About the Training:
This three-night webinar is designed to provide a structured understanding of the Center for Assessment of Sign Language Interpretation (CASLI) Generalist Knowledge Exam which is the first step to becoming certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). You are not required to attend all three webinars, each session will earn 0.3 CEUs.
Session Info:
Session 1: (October 5, 6 – 9 p.m.) Overview of CASLI, account setup, eligibility requirements, study resources, exam prep and sample test review.
Session 2: (October 12, 6 – 9 p.m.) Review the Fundamentals of Interpreting section of the exam, including key content areas and study resources to prepare for the 120 multiple-choice questions.
Session 3: (October 19, 6 – 9 p.m.) Review the Ethical Decision Making & Cultural Responsiveness Case Studies section of the exam and guided practice analyzing exam style case studies.
