Call for Nominations - Executive Positions

In even-numbered years, the Executive Positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) of the NCRID Board of Directors are up for election. We are currently seeking nominations for folks interested in running for these positions. You may self-nominate, or nominate someone else. These positions will be voted on at the general membership meeting on June 26, 2026.

Qualifications

To be qualified to run for an executive position the candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Must be an RID member in good standing

  • Must have been a member in good standing of NCRID for at least 2 full consecutive years immediately prior to candidacy (for this nominations period, must have been a member for the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 Membership years)

  • Must reside in the state of North Carolina

  • Must have some knowledge of the Board’s roles, specifically the desired position’s duties

Benefits

  • After 1 year of service on the Board, Board members’ annual membership dues are waived for the following year

  • Board members annual conference registration may be waived, depending on attendance at quarterly Board meetings and duties and role at conference

  • Board members may have their registration fee waived for workshops hosted by NCRID (including by any of the seven Regions)

Nomination/Election Process

Here is an overview of the nomination/election process to be used:

  • A nomination is submitted

  • NCRID will verify the nominee’s eligibility (based on the qualifications for the position)

  • We’ll reach out to the nominee

    • If they were nominated by someone else, we’ll ask if they accept the nomination

    • We’ll ask them to share an interest statement going over why they are interested in and feel they’d be a good fit for the position

  • We’ll share information on the candidates with membership

  • The election will be conducted on June 26, 2026 at our General Membership meeting at conference

  • Terms will begin July 1, 2026
