Have you ever wondered why an interpreter behaves a certain way? Have you ever had a question to ask an interpreter but weren't sure how or when to ask? Questions like; why is there a Certified Deaf Interpreter at the appointment? When does the appointment need a Deaf interpreter & when does it not? Why does the interpreter leave the exam room at a medical appointment or why do they not leave? If you are curious to hear answers to these questions and more, come to our in person workshop where we will partner with the Smoky Mountain Deaf Club to delve into the mind of interpreters, Deaf and hearing!
This event is in collaboration with Smoky Mountain Deaf Club. We will have separate activities for children 8 and under if their parent/guardian plans to participate in the workshop.
