As interpreters we may not recognize the impact we have by the decisions we make. This workshop will give insightful, real-life examples of how our decisions can impact consumers. Participants will gain a better understanding of the Effective Decision and Actions Spectrum from Dean and Pollard’s Demand-Control Schema. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to identify ineffective and/or unethical decisions (Marschark, M., Peterson, R., & Winston, E. (Eds) (2005)). Participants will be able to construct an appropriate response to a scenario when prompted.
