Bio: After completing her master’s degree, Lisa M Rose worked at Gallaudet University as a Coordinator of Residence Education and a First-Year Seminar Teacher for seven years. She then spent five years at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind as a High School Social Studies teacher. After teaching in a variety of educational settings, she began her journey as an ASL Instructor with the University of North Florida in 2013 and then with St. Petersburg College in 2017 and has over 10 years experience teaching ASL and Deaf Culture.

She joined the department as an American Sign Language (ASL) Lecturer in Fall 2022 with Appalachian State University.

She has actively served as a board member for the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) since October 2020. She is a hard-core fan of the Baltimore Ravens team.
