What will the format of the conference be?
The 2024 RID Region II conference will occur virtually on two days, June 21 & 22, 2024. On Friday, there will be two tracks, meaning that during each time slot there will be two workshops offered concurrently; participants can sign up for the one that they’re interested in at the time of registration. Friday will be only virtual.

During lunch on Saturday, most of the Region II states will host a General Membership Meeting - open to all. Some states are hosting in-person gatherings for the Saturday sessions. Specific instructions for these hybrid events will vary state by state. Contact your state Affiliate Chapter president for more information.

What is the platform of conference?
The 2024 RID Region II conference will occur virtually, and will be hosted on Zoom. We strongly encourage participants to ensure you are familiar with general basics of Zoom and its features, such as use of the chat; adjustment of your own mic, speakers, and camera; adjustment of your view between Gallery and Speaker view; etc. We also strongly encourage you to plan to join workshops on a laptop or desktop computer, not a tablet or smartphone. We also recommend downloading and using the free Zoom application, not joining from a web browser. We are not responsible for technical errors or limitations on the part of the participants and cannot offer refunds due to these issues.

Please note - some states are hosting in-person locations for folks to gather to participate in the Saturday sessions. Specific instructions for these hybrid events will vary state by state. Contact your state Affiliate Chapter president for more information.

Will any workshop sessions be recorded or accessible later?
No; no workshops or presentations at the 2024 RID Region II conference will be recorded or accessible live. Participants are only able to join live in realtime.

Can I purchase registration now and decide which workshops I want to attend later?
No. Due to the nature of the virtual conference, you select the workshops you plan to attend at the time of registration.

How many CEUs can I earn at conference?
Up to 1.2 CEUs, if you attend the entire conference.

Who is eligible for the Member pricing?
Members of a state Affiliate Chapter of RID (ex. NCRID) are eligible for the Member pricing. This membership must be active at the time of registration and the time of conference. We will verify this status with the appropriate Affiliate Chapter. This includes Affiliate Chapters in other Regions than Region II.

Are there discounts offered to ITP students? Students in other degree programs?
For the purposes of Conference registration, the student rate is applicable to all full-time ITP/IPP students. For students in Region II states, students must send a copy of their current class schedule (screenshot of student portal is acceptable) to their Affiliate Chapter president in order to verify the discounted registration. For students in non-Region-II states, send class schedule verification to ncridmedia@gmail.com.

What if I can’t attend the whole workshop, can I receive partial credit?
No. RID’s 15-minute grace period to enter a workshop after it’s scheduled start time is strictly enforced at our conference. You are welcome to attend but will not earn CEUs or any proof of attendance.

Who do I contact for more information about the conference?
Please contact the president of your state Affiliate Chapter with any questions.
