Educational Interpreter Forum a HUGE SUCCESS!!!

We had 41 interpreters attend the Educational Interpreter Forum Monday August 22 . Topics discussed were the educational system and systems in general and how they impact our work. We also talked about the interpreting system, participated in group discussions related to educational interpreting and case studies. Our special guest Julia Sain, director at Disability Rights and Resources presented a mini workshop on Interpreter role. The CRC is delighted to allow for opportunities like these. If anyone is interested in a workshop like this one in their county please contact Anita Baker atanita.baker@dhhs.nc.gov or 704 568 8558 ext. 274. I would like to wish all educational interpreters returning back to work a successful school year.
