There are four categories of NCRID Membership: Voting, Non-Voting, Student, and Organizational. See descriptions of each below before applying to become a member.

Voting Membership - $40

($5 Convenience Fee Will Be Added)

(July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017)

  1. Members in good standing with BOTH NCRID and RID required, and
  2. Those members who pay the current dues for voting membership, and
  3. Those having an active interest in supporting the purposes and activities of the Corporation
  4. Documentation of RID membership is required to accompany the membership application.

  • NCRID quarterly newsletter
  • Email notifications
  • Discounted rates for local and statewide workshops/events
  • Eligibility to vote on current issues relating to NCRID business
  • Eligibility for stipends to defray cost of training or testing fees
  • Eligibility for scholarships/mentorships

The pro-rated fee is for those members, in good standing with RID and NCRID, who join for the first time during January through May of the current membership year.  The discount is offered to encourage new members to join to become eligible for benefits without having to wait until May.

 

Non-Voting Membership - $35

All Student members are Non-Voting.

  1. Members in good standing with NCRID required, and
  2. Those members who pay the current student dues for non-voting membership, and
  3. Those having an active interest in supporting the purposes and activities of the Corporation, and
  4. Students who are currently enrolled, at least part-time in an ITP/IPP (must provide copy of current college ID)

Benefits Include:

  • NCRID quarterly newsletter
  • Email notifications
  • Free or discounted rates for local and statewide workshops/events

Upon graduation from the ITP/IPP graduates may apply for a 1-year free NCRID Membership.

 

Organizational Members (Non-Voting) - $50

  1. Organizations and agencies that support RID's and NCRID's purposes and activities
  2. Those members who pay the current dues for organizational membership, and
  3. Those having an active interest in supporting the purposes and activities of the Corporation

  • A quarterly newsletter sent to the organization
  • Electronic information sent to one email address
  • One organizational member to receive a member rate during statewide conferences (name of individual must be given in advance of the conference)
  • No discounts offered for local training

Not eligible for a NCRID Membership? No problem! Non-Members can still become a part of NCRID by contributing donations to the Mikki Simpson Professional Development Fund to support testing stipends, mentoring, and professional development activities.
