Workshop Description: What is Hospice? Hospice focuses on caring for people with life limiting illnesses or injuries. Being called in to interpret at this difficult time requires so many things for an interpreter to consider. Part of the challenge is knowing what you are getting ready to walk into. This workshop will help explain what Hospice is and what you might expect to encounter in order to help you prepare for the interpreting assignment.
Presenter: Angel Boseman is a RN Case Manager for Hospice. She is a graduate of the Western Piedmont Community College Nursing Program. She has been in the nursing field for 7 years. Angel has worked in hospitals, mental health facilities and at Hospice. She is a mother of 3 wonderful children
Cost: $20.00 for all non-NCRID members (NCRID members 50% off - $10.00) Interpreter Training Students with a NCRID membership are free – all other students cost is the same as non-NCRID members.
