Workshop Description:  What is Hospice?  Hospice focuses on caring for people with life limiting illnesses or injuries.  Being called in to interpret at this difficult time requires so many things for an interpreter to consider.  Part of the challenge is knowing what you are getting ready to walk into.  This workshop will help explain what Hospice is and what you might expect to encounter in order to help you prepare for the interpreting assignment.  

Presenter:  Angel Boseman is a RN Case Manager for Hospice.  She is a graduate of the Western Piedmont Community College Nursing Program.  She has been in the nursing field for 7 years.  Angel has worked in hospitals, mental health facilities and at Hospice.  She is a mother of 3 wonderful children

Cost:  $20.00 for all non-NCRID members (NCRID members 50% off - $10.00) Interpreter Training Students with a NCRID membership are free – all other students cost is the same as non-NCRID members.

Deadline:  Registration will be accepted at the door

Refund and Cancellation Policy:  All refund requests must be in writing, the requests should be faxed or emailed to Tanya Miller; fax: 828-430-7193 or email:Tanya.Miller@dhhs.nc.gov .  A 10% administration fee and food costs will be assessed on ALL refunds.  No refunds, except for medical emergencies, will be issued past 1 week before the workshop. 

NCRID reserves the right to cancel within 30 days of the program, with a full refund to participants, due to low enrollment.
