Workshop Description: Many interpreters hear the word Shakespeare and then their mind goes blank. Learn how to accurately prepare, plan, and interpret literature, poetry, and the current music that students listen to into ASL within the educational setting.
Presenter: M. Antwan Campbell is a 2003 graduate of Gardner-Webb University and in 2007, he received his Master’s in Public Administration from UNC-Pembroke and is currently working as the Lead Interpreter for Cumberland County Schools. He has worked within the educational system for nine years in a variety of settings from elementary to post secondary and has received his Ed:K-12 certification from RID. He is actively engaged in NCRID as its President and has served on the Triangle Regional Board as well.
